BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE … AND HAVE A BETTER EMOTIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MONEY
I trust you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! This week marks the beginning of so much—family celebrations (even if they’re smaller this year!), year-end reports, new goals for the coming year and much more. It’s also a time to pause and consider the things for which we are grateful. Enjoy the Season, be grateful for what you do have and for what you have to share. Happy Thanksgiving!
I thought this would be a good time to revisit with Bob Wheeler, a great podcast guest who talked about the emotional relationship we have with money. We all have emotions about the money we have and the money we don't have. Learn from someone who has helped Hollywood’s wealthiest address their beliefs about money and the impact of these beliefs on decision-making.
FIND OUT HOW TO:
Understand how what you learned about money growing up can influence your decisions now
Avoid being a victim of your own financial sabotage
Start the important money conversation – with your spouse or partner, children or parents – without creating a conflict
A certified public accountant and stand-up comic, Bob Wheeler is the author of the new book, The Money Nerve: Navigating the Emotions of Money. Bob wrote the book to help his readers create a healthy relationship with money by navigating the emotional response to money. Bob believes you don’t need to apologize for wanting success, and you need to be aware of how your childhood – and unconscious money beliefs – may still influence your relationship with money today.
MANAGE WISELY:
DON’T WASTE TIME ON PROGRAMS THAT DO NOT ACHIEVE A MEASURABLE RESULT -- IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.
Time is valuable. Yet, in terms of behavior change, we’ve been taught that it takes time. Think about the many psychotherapists who have only 30 patients in their entire life of practice. Why? Because they believe change occurs only with lots and lots of time.
Today you CAN get different results when you shift your approach and how you view behavior. When coaching focuses on the neuro-transmission of information from the unconscious mind to the conscious mind, change happens quickly, and it is long-lasting.
Shorten the coaching cycle, and you can:
Embed your culture, mission and values throughout the organization -- so that 100% of your organization is on board, instead of the typical 30-40% success rate.
Develop effective teams that perform well even when working in cross-functional teams in a hybrid workplace.
Increase productivity as parts of your organization build better relationships, so they work together across functional lines. Imagine marketing, sales, and operations working together as one living and breathing organ!
I want to provide you with new insights and a new vision of what is possible with the many options now available to you. To learn more about how to achieve behavior change quickly, please visit: Link
While working with a company last week, a Senior Vice President lamented the performance review process, the time it requires, and how it often doesn’t produce lasting behavior change. What this leader really needs is a way to coach effectively. I told her about our coaching tool that, unlike canned coaching programs, is customized for each new hired or newly promoted employee. "Do you know how much time something like that would save me?” she said. “First of all, it takes me 4-6 months to really get to know a new employee and determine how to coach them. If I had something that I could use right at the start with someone new, I would increase the success of all of us!"
Doesn't it make sense to reduce the stress managers feel when managing people?

ONLINE EDUCATION
HOW TO MANAGE EFFECTIVELY
How important are good managers? Well, 85% of employees leave their workplace because they could not work with their managers. It takes good training to become a great manager. Yet managers say they are overwhelmed and don’t have the time or skills to manage people effectively.
We can help you with this dilemma … with training and development that follows a sequential process. Our training utilizes Dr. Geoff Smart's research that studied over 2700 people who attained the CEO position and identified the sequential process needed for promotion and success.
Following a sequential process ensures effective training and real leadership development -- without wasting time. The first step is our Everything DiSC® Management that offers a customizable development solution proven to increase the effectiveness of managers -- as they manage their direct reports or the relationship with their own manager. Participants learn how their management style influences how they manage time, make decisions, approach problems, and what they need to do to adapt to others' styles to bring out the best in every employee.
Each participant benefits from these take-aways:
Discover their DiSC Management style: Recognize the priorities and preferences that shape their experience as a manager of others and as an employee who must also effectively manage up
Understand how their unique style informs their approach to directing and delegation
Learn strategies for improving employee motivation and developing the full potential of people with various DiSC styles
Identify new ways to work more effectively with their manager
